October means we’ve made it to ONE. That’s right, just 12 months ago we opened our doors here in Geneseo, and thanks to all of you it’s been so much more than we could have dreamed. We’re grateful for where we started, loving our new home at 113 North State Street and, as always, making plans for what’s next to come.

And what's next right now is being part of the area's ultimate Midwest fall weekend. As if changing leaves and cooler temps weren’t enough (we’ll take any opportunity to snuggle into a poncho!), fall fun is overflowing in Henry County Oct. 6-8th, and we can’t wait for you to be a part of it.
Grab your ban.do agenda – here’s the quick list of what not to miss:
mabel. & Katsch turn ONE!
The only thing better than celebrating a birthday is celebrating with friends! We just adore mabel., whose shop also opened its doors in Geneseo last October. One weekend each month, the store overflows with salvaged, found and handmade home goods, accessories and apparel from all across the Midwest. Together, we’re toasting a year of awesomeness with discounts, giveaways and treats (follow along here!).
Frank Pumpkin Farm
Once you’ve picked all of your indoor décor favorites at mabel. and Katsch, head on over to Frank Pumpkin Farm in Atkinson. This amazing local patch is open 9 am – 5 pm Saturdays and Sundays. There you’ll find everything from gourds to goodies and some absolutely gorgeous mums.
Paxton's Corner Coop
As if local pumpkin picking weren't enough, nothing says “celebrate Midwest fall” quite like an apple cider donut cupcake. Yes, that’s a thing, and these delicious treats will be available this weekend just down the road at Paxton’s Corner Coop in Annawan. Paxton's also has hand-dipped ice cream and other sweet treats for those of you craving one last taste of summer.
State Street Market
This year, Geneseo will wave goodbye to summer and welcome in fall with a new twist on a long standing tradition - State Street Market. The Historic Downtown District between State and First Streets will be blocked off to host a variety of vendors selling on trend locally made, handcrafted and vintage merchandise. The Geneseo Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the market, which will also include great eats and music from 10 am - 6 pm Saturday, Oct. 8th.
So whether you're on the hunt for something unique, picking up the final pieces of your autumn decor or planning the perfect day trip to enjoy the freshly changing leaves, head to Henry County this weekend and help us celebrate all we're thankful for as we ring in another spectacular Midwest fall!
